GDP - Missiles

This page contains some examples to show some of the capabilities of the graphic input-function of GDP.  For examples of real missiles check here.

The first example is a simple star grain. The star was drawn in a CAD program, and then exported as a bitmap image.

star.gif (9421 bytes)

Imagine that this star was damaged by a crack. Just use MS-Paint to draw the crack and calculate the burnback!

Of course moon-burners, with the bore outside the center of the grain are easily evaluated.

Not only circular grains are possible, but also strangely shaped grains.

GDP is not restricted to single bore propellants. How about the following multi-ported (fictitious) grain ! This would make a great hybrid design.

Other possibilities include:

external burning
partial inhibiting
etc, etc.
